Role description
Must be able to get on site to Union Square a few days per week at your own expense. No C2C The target hiring compensation range for this role is $42 to $46 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. We are seeking a motivated Business Analyst to join a customer data privacy team in New York City. This role will support privacy compliance initiatives and data protection projects across the organization Data Catalog Implementation β€’ Implement tools to create and maintain the company data catalog β€’ Conduct term reviews by scanning data sources, meeting with stakeholders, and reviewing their work β€’ Add validated terms and data definitions to the company data catalog Stakeholder Collaboration β€’ Work closely with stakeholders to gather information and understand business requirements β€’ Collaborate with IT partners and business teams to ensure project deliverables are completed β€’ Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders Systems and Data Understanding β€’ Understand how data is stored and accessed across various systems β€’ Learn and work within a new system for data governance and privacy management β€’ Gain exposure to data governance principles and privacy regulations Project Coordination β€’ Take on task-based work that requires deep understanding rather than simple administrative tasks β€’ Track project progress and coordinate activities across teams β€’ Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, working with both IT and business users Qualifications β€’ Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Monday.com, etc.) β€’ 3 years of experience in analysis, project coordination, or similar role β€’ Basic knowledge of the energy sector or regulated industries β€’ Previous experience in compliance, risk management, or privacy-related roles β€’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Legal Studies, or related field β€’ Familiarity with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA) or data governance concepts Preferred β€’ Understanding of project management principles and methodologies β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) β€’ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills β€’ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities β€’ Demonstrated growth mindset and eagerness to learn new skills
