Role description
Requirements:
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into OneShield configurations.
- Configure and customize workflows, rules, screens, and forms using OneShield Dragon Designer.
- Document functional specifications, process flows, and use cases to support development and QA teams.
- Collaborate with business users, underwriters, rating teams, and developers to align solutions with business goals.
- Support policy, billing, claims, and rating modules through configuration and enhancements.
- Coordinate with technical teams on integrations, including web services (REST/SOAP), third-party systems, and document generation.
- Validate system changes by executing functional testing and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Monitor and analyze defects, ensure timely resolution, and manage issue tracking through tools like JIRA.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Provide subject matter expertise on insurance workflows and policy administration processes.
- Assist in deployment activities and post-production support.
- Maintain clear documentation of lessons learned, configuration standards, and recurring issues.
Candidate profile:
- Strong knowledge of insurance domain, especially Property & Casualty (P&C), Commercial, and Personal Lines.
- Hands-on experience with OneShield Enterprise / Dragon Designer for configuration, rules, and workflows.
- Understanding of policy administration, billing, claims, rating, and underwriting processes.
- Familiarity with system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, third-party services, document management).
- Proven ability to document functional requirements, use cases, and technical specifications.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with both business and technical teams.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with iterative delivery.
- Knowledge of SDLC and testing practices (functional, regression, UAT support).
- Ability to manage client expectations and prioritize tasks under deadlines.
- Prior experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in insurance technology projects.
