EPITEC Position Business Analyst (Non-IT) Job Type W2 Full-Time / Onsite 12-Month Contract- option to go internal LOCATION: Peoria, IL Pay Rate $25-$29 Job Summary The Business Analyst (Non-IT) will act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to support Caterpillar’s machine order management process and digital transformation initiatives. This role involves translating business requirements into functional specifications, supporting global projects, and providing advanced system support for SAP and Salesforce platforms. The analyst will also participate in process improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean principles and modern digital tools. Key Responsibilities β€’ Serve as the primary contact for business users regarding order management processes and system issues. β€’ Translate order-to-delivery business requirements into process and IT requirements. β€’ Coordinate delivery of work requests with global Caterpillar IT teams and external partners. β€’ Support machine order management systems and assist with SAP product testing and system integration testing. β€’ Create and maintain system documentation and local business support processes. β€’ Provide support for invoice-related queries and manage inter-company invoicing adjustments. β€’ Participate in global cross-functional project teams for process improvement and technology integration. β€’ Lead issue resolution with globally located IT support teams and external business partners. β€’ Monitor efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshoot as necessary. β€’ Conduct change management activities, including training and documentation. Minimum Experience β€’ Years of Experience: 2+ years β€’ Degree Requirement: BS degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or Marketing β€’ Internship Experience Accepted: Yes β€’ Has 1+ years of Ordering System SAP user experience β€’ Experience with lean principles and practices β€’ 1 year Project Management experience β€’ PowerBI project creation/maintenance experience β€’ Has Salesforce experience with preference to Orders 360 Desktop and MSF experience Top 3 Skills β€’ Experience with orders in SAP β€’ Experience with customers or business users β€’ Experience with Salesforce Required Technical Skills β€’ Business Analysis fundamentals and techniques β€’ Dealer and/or Orders Support experience β€’ Lean Project participation or management β€’ Strong business acumen and organizational skills β€’ Ordering Systems Mach1 SAP user experience β€’ Advanced analytical skills β€’ Strong understanding of invoicing including compliance requirements β€’ Experience with digital orders/reporting/automation tools Desired Technical Skills β€’ System and technology integration knowledge β€’ Familiarity with IT standards, procedures, and policies Required Soft Skills β€’ Excellent ability to work with others β€’ Self-motivated β€’ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks Disqualifiers / Red Flags β€’ All IT experience in SAP Additional Details β€’ Estimated Start Date: February 16, 2026 β€’ Estimated Duration: 12 months β€’ Daily Schedule: 8 AM – 5 PM β€’ Remote Possibility: Onsite Full-Time β€’ Travel: 0–25% (Domestic and International) β€’ Interview Process: 1 round, 3-person panel (Virtual) β€’ Interview Timeline: β€’ Reviewing on January 26 β€’ Tentative Interviews: Feb. 2 (9–11 AM EST) and Feb. 4 (9–10 AM EST)
