Power BI Developer / Analyst
3-month contract, potential to extend
Clark, New Jersey (Hybrid)
Overview:
We are looking for a Power BI Developer / Analyst to design and build reports and dashboards that help teams make data-driven decisions. This person will work with different departments to understand their reporting needs, organize and connect data, and create clear, interactive visuals using Power BI.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with business teams to understand reporting and data needs.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that highlight key insights.
• Create and manage data models, calculations, and relationships in Power BI.
• Connect data from multiple sources such as SQL, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs.
• Improve dashboard performance and ensure data accuracy.
• Follow data security and governance best practices (including row-level security).
• Document data models and reports, and support user training when needed.
• Troubleshoot data and report issues as they arise.
• Stay current with new Power BI features and BI best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience creating Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong skills in DAX and SQL.
• Experience working with data models, ETL, and data warehousing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
