Role description
Position: Business Analyst | W2-CONTRACT ROLE
Location: Hybrid β Des Moines, IA (Onsite 2β3 days/week as needed)
Duration: 4+ Months
Visa Eligibility: USC / GC only
Interview Mode: Face-to-Face or Webcam
Interview Dates: February 4th, 5th, and 6th only (Only candidates available on these dates will be considered)
Role Responsibilities
β’ Work directly with business leaders, SMEs, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for Iowa applications and systems
β’ Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documentation
β’ Document, trace, prioritize, and manage changes to business processes and system workflows
β’ Support project tracking by updating statuses, risks, issues, and timelines
β’ Conduct data analysis and research to identify solutions and improve systems and processes
β’ Work within an Agile framework to deliver high-value solutions efficiently
β’ Occasionally act as a Project Manager or QA Analyst for smaller initiatives
β’ Participate in database and forms analysis as needed
#SKILL MATRIX:-
β’ Experience working on large, complex IT systems
β’ Experience eliciting requirements, writing user stories and design documents, defining acceptance criteria, testing outcomes, and facilitating
β’ communication between business stakeholders, developers, and project teams.
β’ Experience with SDLC procedures and system development methodologies
β’ Experience managing stakeholder expectations and priorities
β’ Experience working within a project governance structure (methodology, required templates, and reporting).
β’ Excellent task management skills. Ability to balance and manage multiple tasks, with changing priorities, in a cross-functional environment
β’ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and project activities, simultaneously, while meeting established deadlines
β’ Experience with Microsoft development platforms and software
β’ Experience in an Agile environment
β’ Experience with Application Lifecycle Management [ALM] tools; Microsoftβs Team Foundation Server (TFS), Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS),
β’ Azure DevOps (ADO), Atlassianβs Jira, IBMβs Rational Team Suite (RTC)
β’ Working experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or other relational database software
β’ Familiarity with advanced information management practices, data modeling standards, and/or architecture design and analysis
β’ Bachelorβs degree in management information systems, Business, or related field, and/or relevant experience
