Job Title: IT Specialist Duration: 11 Months Location: Albany, NY Position Type: Contract Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Interview Type: In-person Ceipal ID: SNY_BA583_SN Job Code: HBITS-07-14583 End Client: NYS Information Technology Services (ITS) Scope of Project This position will develop and/or maintain business requirements, test plans and test cases and perform functional and regression testing on applications. This position will also support applications in a help desk type environment. Responsibilities: • Analyze system documentation and system artifacts to develop an understanding of the associated business process • Elicit business system requirements using one or more methods such as analyzing current processes, interviewing users, conducting group meetings, and reviewing existing documentation • Document and analyze “as-is” and “to-be” business processes • Develop or maintain high-level and detailed system requirements including business requirements documents, context diagrams, process flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and use cases • Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases • Develop or maintain user acceptance testing plans and help desk support guides • Develop detailed functional and system tests from documented system requirements and ensure appropriate test coverage • Develop or contribute to regression tests and user acceptance tests • Execute functional, system, and regression tests and participate in UAT • Identify and document application defects and track to resolution with retesting • Identify deficiencies in system documentation during testing • Respond to and resolve incident tickets submitted by application users Required/Preferred Skills: • 84+ months business requirements elicitation • 84+ months business process and requirements documentation • 84+ months test plan creation and execution (functional, system, regression) • 84+ months defect tracking and resolution • 48+ months application support / help desk experience • 24+ months criminal justice systems experience (Gun Safety preferred) • Microsoft Office, .NET, SQL Server, Oracle, JAVA, JEE, SOA • Web Services, XML, JavaScript • HP ALM Quality Center, LoadRunner • SOAP UI, Balsamiq, Visio, SharePoint V Group Inc. is a NJ-based IT Services and Products Company with its business strategically categorized in various Business Units including Public Sector, Enterprise Solutions, Professional Services, Ecommerce, Projects, and Products.
