Business Analyst - Onsite, OH 1 days ago columbus,ohio Submission Due Date: 12/18/2025 Client - State of Ohio Will require onsite work Interviews will be via Teams Position Description The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans. Job Description: As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the primary liaison between IT and the business. The BA will collaborate with the business and the software development team to analyze business requirements and transform them into documented requirements. Responsibilities: Manage relationships and communicates with the business owners, business stakeholders, software developers, etc. Document business and non-functional requirements through a variety of techniques including user stories, data modeling, process flow modeling, screen mockups, report mockups etc. Document business rules. Facilitate requirements gathering meetings including kickoffs, software reviews and demos. Help ensure the team understands the business needs and goals and ensure the team’s solutions address the business needs. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree Experience in documenting requirements, specifications and test plans Experience in gathering and analyzing user requirements Experience working as a BA in an agile environment is required Software/Computer Skills: Prototyping, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Point, Visio, PowerPoint Prior experience with website development teams required Prior experience with mobile applications Other Skills: Excellent communication skills including listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills while eliciting requirements to understand the real need for the request Proficient with project management practices and tools
