Job Description:
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Business Analyst with Private Equity domain experience to support business transformation and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring accurate requirement gathering, data validation, and solution delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, Salesforce expertise, and the ability to operate in a hybrid BA/Scrum Master capacity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
β’ Work closely with Private Equity business stakeholders to understand business processes, investment lifecycle workflows, reporting needs, and operational challenges.
β’ Gather, analyze, and document clear Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), and user stories.
β’ Translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams.
β’ Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement walkthrough sessions.
1. Data Review & Validation
β’ Perform detailed data analysis to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
β’ Review investment, portfolio, and financial datasets to validate business logic.
β’ Support UAT by validating outputs against expected results.
β’ Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and recommend corrective actions.
1. Salesforce Expertise
β’ Work with Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud / Financial Services Cloud preferred).
β’ Gather and define requirements for Salesforce enhancements, workflows, dashboards, and reports.
β’ Support configuration discussions and validate system changes.
β’ Coordinate with Salesforce admins/developers to ensure alignment with business objectives.
1. Agile & Scrum Responsibilities
β’ Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
β’ Write and manage user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
β’ Act as a proxy Scrum Master when required β facilitate meetings and remove blockers.
β’ Track deliverables and ensure alignment with sprint goals.
1. Decision Making & Stakeholder Management
β’ Support business decisions through structured analysis and insights.
β’ Provide recommendations based on data findings and process evaluation.
β’ Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, portfolio managers, and technical teams.
β’ Manage competing priorities and drive consensus.
Required Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
β’ Strong experience in Private Equity / Asset Management / Investment Management domain.
β’ Hands-on experience with Salesforce (configuration knowledge preferred).
β’ Strong experience in data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
β’ Experience writing detailed functional and technical requirements.
β’ Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience acting as a Scrum Master or hybrid BA/Scrum role.
β’ Knowledge of Private Equity investment lifecycle (capital calls, distributions, portfolio tracking).
β’ Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
β’ SQL knowledge for data validation is a plus.
