We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support our security and technology teams through the development of security-related reporting, documentation, and project coordination activities. This role will help collect, analyze, and present key security metrics, create and maintain clear documentation, and assist with project management tasks to support security initiatives and operational improvements.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with experience translating technical and operational information into meaningful reports, dashboards, documentation, and actionable project updates.
Key Responsibilities
Security Metrics & Reporting
β’ Gather, validate, and analyze security-related data from multiple sources.
β’ Develop and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and scorecards for security metrics and KPIs.
β’ Track and report on key areas such as vulnerability management, incident trends, risk findings, compliance activities, awareness training, and remediation progress.
β’ Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure metrics align with business and security objectives.
β’ Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement based on reported data.
β’ Prepare summaries and presentations for leadership and operational teams.
Documentation Creation & Maintenance
β’ Create, update, and maintain process documentation, procedures, workflows, meeting notes, and reference materials.
β’ Support development of documentation related to security processes, controls, audits, assessments, and operational activities.
β’ Ensure documentation is organized, accurate, and version-controlled where applicable.
β’ Translate technical information into clear business-friendly documentation for a variety of audiences.
β’ Assist in standardizing templates and reporting formats across security initiatives.
Project Management & Coordination
β’ Support planning, coordination, and tracking of security-related projects and initiatives.
β’ Maintain project schedules, action items, status reports, and meeting minutes.
β’ Coordinate follow-ups with stakeholders to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met.
β’ Assist with requirements gathering, task tracking, risk/issue logging, and dependency management.
β’ Help prepare materials for project meetings, steering committees, and leadership updates.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
β’ 8+ years of experience in a business analyst, reporting analyst, project coordinator, or similar role.
β’ Experience creating reports, dashboards, and business documentation.
β’ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
β’ Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
β’ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience supporting cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or IT operations teams.
β’ Familiarity with security metrics, vulnerability management, incident reporting, or audit support.
β’ Experience with project tracking tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, Monday.com, or similar.
β’ Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance concepts.
β’ Certification or training in business analysis or project management is a plus (CBAP, CCBA, CAPM, PMP, etc.).
