Role description
Business Analyst
Location: Universal City, CA Hybrid ( In office Mon-Thurs)
Duration: 8 month, Potential for extension
Pay: $75-$85/hr based on experience
Interview Process: 2 rounds, 1st round video, 2nd round in person
Summary
The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing data using statistical techniques, implements and maintains databases, gathers data from primary and secondary sources, and identifies and interprets trends from the data. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. The Data Analyst will adhere to SOPβs defined including best practices, data compliance and governance and technology decisions. The Data Analyst will work closely with data architects, third party partners, as well cross functional teams to deliver large and complex solutions that are efficient to sustain and foster the maturity of companyβs data insights. This Data Analyst will primarily be aligned to a Cyber Security Platform program that enables fast detections, advanced correlation, easy investigation, historical analysis and threat analysis.
Responsibilities
β’ Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
β’ Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
β’ Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
β’ Filter and βcleanβ data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems. Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs.
β’ Supporting a tenant consolidation project
β’ Ensuring all employees can access UDX without issues
β’ Identifying access issues and working with leaders and stakeholders to resolve them
β’ Troubleshooting login, domain access, app authentication, and multi?email challenges
β’ Supporting migration from Duo to a new identity solution
β’ Working closely with the engineering team
β’ Reviewing and validating licensing
β’ Identifying and resolving duplicate or multiple email accounts
β’ Consolidating email accounts across the organization
Qualifications
β’ 3+ yearsβ experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
β’ Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
β’ Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (SSRS, Tableau, etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
β’ Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, PowerBI etc.).
β’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
β’ Expert at queries, report writing and presenting findings
β’ Education:
β’ Bachelorβs degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Database Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
