Business Analyst/Tester (SQL Server) | 5+ years of experience | Remote (Austin, TX) | 3+ month contract Walker Healthforce is seeking a Business Analyst/Tester w/ a minimum of 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT and 3+ years on Medicaid projects to support a public sector healthcare client. This is a 3-month contract with potential for extensions. START DATE: ASAP CONTRACT LENGTH: 3-months RATE RANGE: Negotiable, based on market rates LOCATION: Remote; preference given to candidates local to Austin, TX or surrounding. CORE REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience as a business analyst/tester in healthcare IT
3+ years of experience on Medicaid projects including Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) along w/ deep understanding of Medicaid business processes, claims, eligibility, provider management, long-term care, and regulatory compliance
Experience working with public sector or state government clients/stakeholders
Experience working within an Agile environment (SAFe Agile strongly preferred) including backlog grooming, print planning, and (PI) program increment planning sessions
Proficiency with developing test cases, test scripts, and user stories
Familiar with test management and defect tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM)
Advanced skillset in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation and backend testing
Deep understanding of Medicaid business processes, claims, eligibility, provider management, long-term care, and regulatory compliance
Other: Test case design, execution, defect management, and UAT; technical and non-technical stakeholder relations; cross-functional team collaboration; user story creation, process mapping, and documentation;
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
Relevant certifications (CBAP, ISTQB, SAFe, Scrum)
