Summary
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Application and Data Engineering Team, responsible for translating business requirements into actionable technical documentation. This role acts as a bridge between business users, development, and quality assurance teams to ensure accurate delivery of solutions that enhance data, reporting, and CRM capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong Salesforce experience, solid SQL skills, and a proven ability to support Agile development cycles while prioritizing high-value initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage regularly with stakeholders to prioritize backlogs and intake new requests.
• Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), process flows, and other project artifacts.
• Gather, refine, and document requirements for dashboards and reporting tools.
• Create and manage user stories, backlog grooming, acceptance criteria, and participate in sprint planning.
• Partner with development and QA teams to validate requirements and support integration/UAT testing.
• Communicate updates and rollout plans to end users across business units.
• Provide support and training for users on applications and reporting tools.
• Identify and recommend process efficiencies and data quality improvements in collaboration with Data Engineering.
• Develop and maintain standard dashboards and reports to support business intelligence needs.
Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (Salesforce experience required).
• 3+ years of SQL experience for data analysis and reporting.
• Proven success translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience in Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of Power BI, IBM Cognos, or Tableau preferred.
• Experience in the insurance industry, SOX, or audit processes is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Index Match, Power Query, etc.).
• Exposure to Python, R, MS Fabric, Power Apps, or Power Automate a plus.
