Business Analyst (SAP HANA)

Job Title: Business Analyst (SAP HANA) Location Minnesota 55401 Job Type: 12-month Contract (potential to extend) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Business Analyst with deep expertise in the FICA module to support a large-scale Greenfield implementation. This role involves providing subject matter expertise, reviewing key design and technical artifacts, guiding billing and invoicing configuration, and collaborating with internal teams and system integrators throughout the implementation lifecycle. Responsibilities • Provide expert guidance in SAP S/4HANA FICA across design, configuration, and process execution. • Review and advise on functional and technical design documentation. • Participate in daily stand‑ups, workshops (on-site as needed), and follow‑up deliverables. • Collaborate closely with internal business teams, system integrators, and third‑party partners. • Support configuration of billing and invoicing processes and contribute to process standardization/redesign. • Address SAP-related questions across project phases and support testing and validation activities. Day‑to‑Day Activities • Attendance in agile ceremonies and team stand‑ups. • On-site participation in workshops (generally Tuesday–Thursday when required). • Remote completion of deliverables, reviews, and analysis work. • Close coordination with internal stakeholders and vendors. Team & Work Environment • Individual contributor role; no direct people management. • Core team size is fewer than 10, with broader collaboration across internal stakeholders and external partners. • Highly collaborative environment with strong teamwork and cross-functional engagement. Qualifications (Required) • SAP S/4HANA implementation experience. • SAP FICA module expertise. • Utility industry experience. • Experience participating in at least two SAP implementations (Greenfield or Brownfield). • Hands-on experience configuring billing and invoicing processes in SAP. Non-Technical Skills • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. • Experience working in multi-vendor environments. • Ability to work with both internal teams and external partners. Preferred Qualifications • 10+ years of SAP implementation experience. • Certifications such as SAP Activate or SAP FICA (preferred, not required). • ABAP development experience (nice-to-have).
