Role description
Job Summary We are looking for a Business Analyst to support a system transformation project focused on improving workflows, data management, and reporting. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze current processes, and help deliver a more efficient, modern solution. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong experience in requirements documentation, gap analysis, and testing, along with exposure to data and reporting tools like Excel and Power BI. Experience working in government or highly regulated environments is highly preferred. location: Telecommute job type: Contract salary: $46.50 - 51.50 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities Job Responsibilities • Gather and document business and system requirements through stakeholder collaboration • Analyze current processes and perform gap analysis to define future-state solutions • Create clear, structured documentation (requirements, workflows, data mappings) • Partner with technical teams to support system design, development, and implementation • Support testing efforts, including test planning, test cases, and validation (UAT) • Assist with reporting and data requirements, including dashboards and KPIs • Track requirements, changes, and updates throughout the project lifecycle • Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and project leadership • Facilitate meetings and ensure alignment between business and technical teams Qualifications Qualifications 5-7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role Strong Experience With Requirements Gathering, Documentation, And Validation Experience performing gap analysis and process mapping Experience supporting testing efforts (UAT, test planning, execution) Familiarity with SDLC and Agile or hybrid delivery environments Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with Excel; experience with reporting tools like Power BI preferred Experience with workflow/process tools (e.g., PowerAutomate or similar) Experience Working In Government Or Highly Regulated Environments Preferred Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
