Role description
Job Title: Business Analyst Job Description A confidential client is seeking a Business Analyst to support data operations, account merging, and data quality troubleshooting within an enterprise environment. This role focuses on reviewing data sent through MDM tools, resolving merge fallout, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data. The position requires working closely with business partners to validate information, apply business rules, and remediate data exceptions. The specialist will perform cleansing, standardization, and validation activities across multiple data domains while adhering to governance and compliance standards. Responsibilities Review and research fallout records generated from match‑merge processes. Perform timely and accurate remediation of data exceptions based on established business rules. Validate survivorship outcomes and ensure entity resolution aligns with stewardship expectations. Conduct root cause analysis on recurring data exceptions. Execute data cleansing tasks, including standardization, deduplication, formatting corrections, and attribute validation. Verify data completeness and accuracy using approved tools and quality checks. Perform bulk updates or corrections following established protocols and change‑control requirements. Assist in monitoring data quality dashboards, reports, and exception queues. Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Stewards, business partners, and Operations teams to resolve issues requiring business input. Document remediation decisions and maintain required audit trails. Support stewardship processes by escalating complex or policy‑related issues. Essential Skills 3–4 years of data operations experience. 2 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, or related functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering, and data cleaning. Experience with MDM applications such as Informatica or similar tools. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to interpret and apply business rules, matching logic, and survivorship frameworks. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with match‑merge or entity resolution workflows. Basic proficiency in SQL or other data query tools. Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality rules, and metadata management. Experience working with customer or partner master data. Work Environment This hybrid role requires candidates to live within 50 miles of the Wayne, PA area and work onsite two days per week, including Thursdays. Standard hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with some flexibility.
