Role description
Business Analyst in Sustainability Reporting (Contract Role)
Onsite in Kerney Mesa, CA 5 days a week
Pay: 40/hr - 45/hr
Purpose of the Role
This role supports business operations by organizing existing content, analyzing data, and helping teams improve how they work. The analyst will follow clear direction from a Program Manager and collaborate with others to document processes, identify patterns, and suggest improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Organizing Information
β’ Collect and organize existing documents and content from different teams.
β’ Group content into clear categories for market intelligence and business positioning.
β’ Identify missing information, duplicate content, or inconsistencies.
Documenting Processes
β’ Help teams describe how they do their work in a consistent format.
β’ Create or update standard work documents.
β’ Assist with mapping out workflows using diagrams or templates.
Working with Data
β’ Combine large datasets from different sources.
β’ Perform basic analysis using tools like Excel or Google Sheets, possibly also PowerBI or Tableau.
β’ Look for patterns, gaps, or unusual data entries.
β’ Suggest ways to improve data quality or structure.
Communication & Collaboration
β’ Share findings in a clear and structured way.
β’ Create content that helps others understand the data and processes.
β’ Ask questions when something is unclear or inconsistent.
β’ Take direction from the Program Manager on priorities and timelines.
Additional Responsibilities
β’ Support audit preparation by organizing and reviewing documentation (if needed).
β’ Recommend scalable solutions that can work across the entire company.
