BUSINESS ANALYST - Pasadena
Hybrid Role - 1-2 Days on-site LOCAL CANDIDATES (50 miles) ONLY - PASADENA
The estimated pay range for this position is USD $55.00/hr - $60.00/hr.
W2 ONLY - No C2C, 1099, sponsorship, or 3rd Party
Six+ month contract
Business Analyst (3 - 6 years experience) - This is NOT a senior level role
β’ Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business units, subject matter experts, vendors, and technical teams.
β’ Analyze and document business requirements, functional specifications, workflows, use cases, and process diagrams.
β’ Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and impacts to current processes and systems.
Process Improvement & Documentation
β’ Map and evaluate existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
β’ Develop future-state process models and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
β’ Create and maintain process maps, user guides, and supporting documentation.
Project Support
β’ Support and/or lead projects with requirements management, stakeholder communication, task tracking, and status reporting.
β’ Assist in project planning and provide input on scoping, timelines, and resource needs.
β’ Participate in project meetings, workshops, demonstrations, and testing activities.
Testing & Validation
β’ Support UAT by developing test cases, coordinating test sessions, logging defects, and validating functionality.
β’ Assist project teams in confirming that delivered solutions meet business requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
β’ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and impacts.
β’ Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment.
Minimum Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in related field (Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology) or equivalent professional experience.
β’ 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
β’ Experience working within a PMO or formal project delivery environment.
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
β’ Proficiency with business analysis tools (Visio, JIRA, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite and Project (portfolio) Management software.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience in public sector, pension administration, finance, or regulated environments.
β’ Knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile).
β’ Experience supporting large-scale technology modernization initiatives.
Compensation
The estimated pay range for this position is USD $55.00/hr - $60.00/hr and is an Exempt role.
