Job Title: Business Analyst II
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (Onsite)
Duration: 9 Months
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst II to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role requires strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to independently gather and translate requirements into functional and technical deliverables. The candidate will also support data-related initiatives and ensure quality through rigorous testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Independently engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
• Ask insightful questions to fully understand business needs and break them down into detailed functional requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Develop detailed Test Acceptance Criteria and execute testing during Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Create and execute SQL scripts for ETL and data validation/testing.
• Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies related to:
• Banking and financial services
• Data engineering and architecture
• Data security
• Provide production support and troubleshooting for data platforms.
• Contribute to internal initiatives such as:
• Legacy system modernization
• Monitoring and analytics enhancements
• Tool development
• Technical documentation
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to independently lead meetings and requirement discussions
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience in financial services, especially in financial crimes domain
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
