Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Engineering Solutions Unit in the Engineering Department. The selected candidate will support full-stack web applications and enterprise platform workflows, playing a key role in process analysis, requirement gathering, system testing, report generation, and user training.
This role involves close collaboration with project managers, developers, and end users to implement new systems and improve current processes. Strong analytical thinking, technical aptitude, and excellent communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather business needs from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and document analysis to capture detailed project requirements.
Analyze existing workflows and identify optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with in-house/off-site developers to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Manage change requests and work with the steering committee on implementation.
Assist in the development of custom applications (.NET/React) and low-code/no-code solutions (Power Platform, SharePoint, OpenText, eBuilder).
Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports.
Prioritize requirements based on value, risk, and feasibility.
Participate in QA planning, testing, and gathering user feedback.
Prepare user guides, training materials, and conduct training sessions.
Provide application support as part of the Engineering Solutions team.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelorβs degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 2 years of experience in:
Business analysis for full-stack web applications.
Working with in-house hosted third-party platforms.
Querying and profiling data using Microsoft SQL Server.
Minimum 2 years of report development experience using SSRS.
Minimum 1 year of experience in:
Power BI dashboard/report development.
Workflow design using Miro or Visio.
Using Azure DevOps for version control/task management.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and programming logic.
Proficient in analyzing ERDs, data flow diagrams, and integration points.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Required Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and system documentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience with OpenText, SharePoint, and eBuilder platforms.
UI/UX design exposure using Figma or similar tools.
Knowledge of API testing (Postman) and automated testing (Playwright).
Experience with ETL tools like SSIS.
Familiarity with DocuSign.
Prior work with public sector, utilities, or construction-related systems.
