Business Analyst

Employment Type: 6 month contract to hire Work Environment: Onsite in Venice, FL Schedule: Standard business hours Other Notes: Role supports high‑visibility projects with direct impact on operational efficiency Preferred Background • Financial industry or financial systems experience is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather, clarify, and document business requirements, translating them into clear user stories. • Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements using workflow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and entity relationship models. • Break complex requirements into independent, actionable user stories and participate in review sessions with stakeholders. • Create wireframes, functional documentation, and requirement definition materials. • Support backlog grooming, assist with front‑line requirement clarification, and ensure appropriate sign‑offs on project artifacts. • Participate in Functional Specification reviews and User Acceptance Testing to ensure solutions meet business needs. • Prepare and maintain release notes and ensure documentation accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. Technical Skills • Experience reading and writing SQL queries preferred. • Experience with system or data analysis (preferred). • Experience with web‑based and mobile applications is a plus. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related discipline. • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within a software development environment. • 4+ years of experience working with SDLC and Agile methodologies. • Demonstrated ability to analyze and document complex business processes. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively. • Exceptional organizational, time‑management, and decision‑making skills with the ability to work independently under pressure. • Ability to interpret data, manage multiple tasks, and remain composed in fast‑paced situations. • Highly motivated, quick learner, and strong team collaborator.
