Pay Rate: $52.00 - $57.00 per hourJob DescriptionThe Business Analyst will support executive- and regulator-facing reporting by delivering accurate, high-quality data analysis, validation, and documentation. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role emphasizing Excel-based analysis, data quality control, and compliance support in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets, and able to manage shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze large datasets using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and tracking tools
• Identify trends, issues, and inconsistencies; validate data for accuracy and completeness
• Develop and maintain trackers and reporting views for recurring and ad-hoc requests
• Reconcile data across multiple systems and sources
Compliance & Documentation Support
• Gather, organize, and validate supporting documentation and evidence
• Support compliance, audit, and control-related activities through data validation
• Ensure reporting aligns with structured compliance requirements and processes
Communication & Coordination
• Summarize findings clearly for leadership-level and regulatory presentations
• Assist with preparation and review of presentation materials
• Provide administrative support for a shared team mailbox, tracking requests and responses
• Operate effectively in a dynamic environment with time-sensitive deliverables
Required Skills & ExperienceRequired:
• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Reporting Analyst
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, trackers, and data validation
• Experience analyzing large datasets and performing data quality checks
• Comfort working within compliance-driven and structured processes
• Strong attention to detail and analytical questioning skills
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
• Audit, compliance testing, or data validation experience
• Experience supporting executive-level or regulatory reporting
Additional:
• Proactive and adaptable mindset
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
Work Environment & Equipment
• Remote or hybrid role based on candidate location
• PG&E laptop provided
• If hardware backlog exists, vendor must temporarily provide a laptop or allow use of a personal device with Citrix until equipment is issued
