Business Analyst/Data Architect

6-12+ Month Contract Hybrid - Chicago, IL 60-75/hour About the Role We are seeking a Hybrid Business Analyst / Data Architect for a dynamic team working on loyalty systems and data-driven solutions. This role combines business analysis and hands-on data architecture, focused on building internal components for loyalty platforms and working with complex datasets such as stay, reservation, and guest data. The ideal candidate will bridge technical and business needs, ensuring data is accessible, accurate, and actionable. Key Responsibilities • Assess current data and understand team requirements. • Merge datasets and design scalable data architecture. • Gather and document business requirements from multiple stakeholders. • Determine optimal methods to access, organize, and manipulate data. • Collaborate with analysts and business units to ensure alignment. • Make guest and reservation data more accessible and valuable for business use. Day-to-Day Activities • Dive into loyalty system databases. • Analyze and profile data (stay/reservation/guest). • Translate business goals into technical solutions. • Document requirements and data flows. • Engage with multiple teams to deliver actionable data solutions. Must-Have Skills (in order of importance) 1. Snowflake 1. Cloud experience (AWS or Azure) 1. SQL 1. Kafka 1. Airbyte tools Ideal Candidate Profile • Self-starter with strong initiative and proactive communication skills. • Ability to work independently and keep stakeholders informed. • Strong data-focused background; able to speak to and understand data. • Comfortable with heavy data flows and process-focused work. • Experience in data modeling. • Loyalty program experience is a plus.
