Job Description
Responsible for providing product expertise and product understanding for a Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) Application (i.e. AssurX). The Business Application Developer serves as a resource for applications requiring structured system methodologies and information technology.
Provide regular product support, maintenance, configuration changes, and patch updates along with project enhancements that align with corporate strategies. Work with business representatives to deliver fully implemented solutions to the end-user community by leveraging best practices of core applications.
Responsible for developing programmatic solutions, testing solutions for accuracy with defined test plans, and coordinating the implementation and completion of recommended specifications for all new systems, system changes, and problem corrections. Work with internal IT/OT and vendor representatives to deliver fully implemented solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide subject matter expertise in assigned core business unit functions including:
• Defect resolution
• Process improvement
• Data mining, gathering, and quality assessment
• Reporting and data visualization
• Application development
• Act as primary point of contact with Compliance to coordinate:
• Status updates
• Functional requirements
• Project priorities
• Operational impacts
• Lead application development efforts:
• Direct, train, and review team work
• Coordinate project activities
• Develop plans and manage deliverables
• Perform application analysis for client base
• Analyze workflows to ensure systems are configured correctly and producing accurate results
• Provide functional support to end-users
• Define and document functional requirements for applications and reporting
• Maintain relationships with key users to support effective application usage
• Define and document:
• System scope
• Current and proposed logical views
• Requirements using structured design techniques
• Identify system improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements
• Evaluate business impact of system issues and recommend solutions
• Assess system functionality gaps and develop corrective action plans
• Maintain system documentation:
• Document issues and resolutions
• Review and update procedures
• Recommend new procedures
• Develop training materials and conduct training
• Research and evaluate solution alternatives and recommend optimal approaches
• Design and execute:
• Integration testing
• User acceptance testing
• Post-implementation validation
• Participate in:
• Application upgrades
• Patch deployments
• Testing and production releases
• Follow SDLC, triage, and change management processes
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
• Coordinate with software vendors to resolve product issues
