Business Case Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Business Case Analyst (Enterprise Data Platform) for our client based at Washington DC. Pay Range:$50/-$55/hr on W2 without benefits. The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Responsibilities: Partner closely with the Product Owner to support backlog, prioritization, and planning Write and refine user stories & acceptance criteria Step in as a Scrum Master when needed (run ceremonies, support Agile delivery) Act as a bridge between project and program stakeholders Gather and analyze business needs, pain points, and outcomes Document current & future state processes, workflows, and SOPs Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and process improvement opportunities Lead/support stakeholder discussions, workshops, and discovery sessions Convert technical inputs into clear, business-friendly documentation Organize and maintain knowledge repositories, process guides, FAQs, and templates Track risks, issues, dependencies, and action items Support cross-team communication across data governance, platform, and engineering teams Required: 5+ years in business analysis, product analysis, or similar roles Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies Hands-on experience supporting Product Owners and backlog management Ability to prioritize, structure, and drive clarity in fast-moving environments Excellent communication skills – comfortable working up and down the organization Experience with tools like Jira, SharePoint, Visio, PowerPoint Strong documentation, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills Nice to Have Experience with data platforms, analytics, or cloud environments Familiarity with data governance and enterprise data initiatives Experience in federal or regulated environments Background in knowledge management and documentation frameworks Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
