Salary commensurate with experience β€’ Overview: We are seeking a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planner who will support our client. The role entails developing a disaster recovery plan for multiple systems and a business continuity plan that covers all aspects of standard business continuity plans. The chosen candidate will be expected to develop, maintain, and/or implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures. Duties β€’ Perform highly technical and supervisory responsibilities in BCP activities. β€’ Work with business and IT organizations to develop and refine their business continuity strategies. β€’ Provide expert advice, assess risks, and provide solutions to ensure the organization is prepared for unexpected disruptions. β€’ Analyze impact on, and risk to, essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements. β€’ Develop emergency management plans for recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes, or temporary shut-down of non-critical departments to ensure continuity of operation and governance. β€’ Develop disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets, such as data centers. β€’ Establish, maintain, or test call trees to ensure appropriate communication during disaster. β€’ Test documented disaster recovery strategies and plans β€’ Review existing disaster recovery, crisis management, or business continuity plans. β€’ Conduct or oversee contingency plan integration and operation. β€’ Attend professional meetings, read literature, and participate in training or other educational offerings to keep abreast of new developments and technologies related to disaster recovery and business continuity. Mandatory Qualifications: β€’ BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, or Risk Management. β€’ 5+ years of experience with developing and implementing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans across multiple industries β€’ 1+ years of experience in conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, and continuity exercises. β€’ Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud services. β€’ Understanding of data backup and recovery technologies. β€’ Proficiency in risk management software and tools. β€’ 1+ years of experience creating clear and comprehensive documentation for BCDR plans and procedures. β€’ 6 months of experience delivering training and awareness programs to ensure staff readiness. Desirable Qualifications: β€’ Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) (Preferred) β€’ Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (Preferred) β€’ Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE) (Preferred) β€’ Situational awareness, abstract thinking, adaptability, and risk management β€’ Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. β€’ Strong analytical skills to assess potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization. β€’ Cloud and Things complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding recruitment and hiring.
