Teamwork & Ways of Working • Actively contribute to data transformation initiatives and cross‑functional improvement projects. • Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, and show & tell sessions. • Work collaboratively with colleagues in Data Governance, Data Quality, Engineering, and business domains. Tools & Analytics (Business-Focused) • Interpret reports, dashboard outputs, and SQL/Snowflake extracts with support from technical specialists. • Use available data to validate business issues and test assumptions. Skills and Competencies Essential • Strong London Market and Lloyd’s insurance knowledge, including understanding of key market processes (open market, delegated authority), data standards (e.g., MRC/CDR/Blueprint Two), and underwriting lifecycle. • Proven Business Analyst experience, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and facilitating workshops. • Exceptional stakeholder management, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and build strong cross‑functional relationships. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability, with the skills to translate business issues into structured data requirements. • Understanding of data governance, stewardship models, data quality principles, and business ownership responsibilities. • Ability to understand data flows, lineage concepts, and upstream/downstream dependencies from a business perspective. Desirable • Familiarity with SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI (high‑level understanding only; hands‑on expertise not required). • Experience working in data transformation or data governance programmes within the London Market. • Knowledge of data dictionary, metadata, and lineage documentation practices. Education • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. • Industry certifications in business analysis, data analysis, or London Market insurance are desirable. Why Join Chaucer?
