Role description
Job Title: Business Data Analyst Location: Arden Hills, MN 55112 (Hybrid Role - 3 Days onsite) Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension/Hire) Job Description: β€’ Analyzes quality data, trends and insights to create or generate business reports and analytics for internal groups or customers for product insights. β€’ This includes the collection, trending, and analysis of management review metrics and product performance data. Obtains and maintains data sets on which analysis is based. β€’ Collaborates with internal resources to identify and action specific data needs for the business. MAY DIRECTLY ENGAGE IN SOFTWARE/APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT Key Responsibilities: β€’ Leads and guides product performance data projects by defining organizational needs and utilizing new or existing technology and tools to drive projects to completion β€’ Interacts with internal customers and across business determine customer data or report requirements and translates them into reports for analysis. β€’ Analyze customer complaints, events and other post marketing surveillance data by examining the data for patterns, trends and signals and investigating when necessary. β€’ Collects and tracks data and provides analysis through ongoing reporting, ad hoc analysis and partnership to share insights and ensure understanding within the business. β€’ Uses data to depict or highlight key organization trends. Collaborates with businesses to identify insights, trends and potential opportunities, interventions and solutions to demonstrate business value. β€’ Develops and maintains analytical tools used by the business. Identifies and recommends opportunities to optimize system and reporting. May maintain relationships with data and software vendors. β€’ Assists with the development and communication of the data analytics strategy and operating plan. Desired skills: Advanced Excel, SAS, Python, SQL, Problem Solving, Project Management and Tracking, Cross-Functional Collaboration Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities: In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. Required Qualifications: β€’ BS degree required with 5+ year of experience in data analytics, reporting, and problem solving within a technical field. MS degree with 3+ years’ experience. β€’ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel β€’ Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking & data analysis capabilities β€’ Strong communication skills with experience explaining technical concepts to technical and business partners Preferred Qualification: β€’ Advanced Degree in Data Analysis, Mathematics, Statistics or similar quantitative field β€’ Experience within Medical Device industry -will move to top of list β€’ Experience with Product Quality data (e.g. complaints, product trending) β€’ Experience leading project/program initiatives to implement data tools β€’ Experience with validation of open-source and traditional coding solutions β€’ Experience with one or more of the following tools: SAS, Python, SQL
