Role description
Title: Business and Data Analyst
Location: Boston, MA (Need locals only)
Rate: $50hr c2c/1099
Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD, H4-EAD & OPT-EAD only
Duration: Long Term
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Software as a Service cloud implementation particularly those in which legacy on premise applications have been migrated to cloud delivery options, financial transformations and/or modernization projects. In addition, understanding data architecture, data quality, and data governance practices a plus. Minimum Entrance Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related study or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of exp
Business & Data Analyst (Financial Reporting Modernization) will work with a team comprised of BEST Program staff, agency business and technical SMEs and the new solution system integrator (SI) and product vendor to support the modernization of our financial reporting processes and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both business analysis and data analytics, with a specific focus on financial reporting, data integration, and transformation initiatives. This role will work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Data Governance, and other stakeholders to drive process improvements, enable data-driven decision-making, and ensure the delivery of scalable, accurate financial reporting solutions
• Document requirements for report redevelopment in Snowflake.
• Validate output of Snowflake queries to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Support user acceptance testing and participate in training efforts. Required Skills
• Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle and Snowflake).
• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Apps
• Experience working with financial data, state or public sector systems a plus.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Access, Toad, or BI platforms a plus.
• Experience in Cloud Data warehouses like Snowflake and Redshift.
