Title: Business Data Analyst
Location: San Diego CA/Remote
Pay rate: $55.00 - $60.00 /hour DOE
Duration: 3-4 Months (Possibility of extension)
Duties:
• Drive Business Impact through Analytics Identify and develop key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of expert help. Partner with business leaders to translate data insights into strategic recommendations that drive action. Automate reporting and dashboarding to enable real-time decision-making.
• Elevate Data Capabilities & Modeling Leverage machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI-driven solutions to improve decision-making. Partner with stakeholders to develop new data models and metrics that provide deeper business insights. Optimize and manage data pipelines to ensure scalable and efficient reporting.
• Improve Operational Performance & Efficiency Use root cause analysis and A/B testing to uncover operational bottlenecks and customer pain points.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Partner with forecasting and capacity planning to optimize resource allocation.
• Build Trust and Influence Across Teams Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align strategic goals. Mentor junior team members and help foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Qualification:
• 4+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field. Proven ability to extract insights from data and communicate compelling data-driven stories that drive business impact. Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik). Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics, modeling, and automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Spark, Databricks) is a plus.
• Machine learning and Generative AI experience is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and end-to-end quantitative thinking skills. Passion for mentorship and developing talent within the team.
• Proactive and growth-oriented mindset—you identify opportunities for innovation rather than just responding to problems.
