Role description
JOB DESCRIPTION:Join the BEST (Business Enterprise Systems Transformation) Program to modernize financial reporting processes by migrating legacy Oracle BCV reports to a Snowflake-based data lake. Collaborate with Finance, IT, Data Governance, SMEs, system integrators, and vendors to design, configure, and deliver accurate, scalable financial reports and dashboards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and migrate existing SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports to Snowflake
Gather and document requirements, configure reports, and assist in UAT
Validate data integrity between Oracle and Snowflake
Resolve data-related issues during/after migration
Support financial domains such as Capital Asset Management, Budgeting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Grants, and Vendor Management
Participate in training and user testing
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
5+ years in business analysis and/or data analytics (finance/reporting preferred)
Strong SQL (Oracle & Snowflake)
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps
Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift)
Strong system analysis skills and ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
Preferred:
SaaS cloud migration projects, financial transformation, modernization initiatives
Knowledge of data architecture, quality, and governance
Experience with financial data in state/public sector systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Toad, or BI tools
Strong SQL (Oracle & Snowflake)
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps
Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift)
Strong system analysis skills and ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
