Business Data Analyst with P&C Experience

Job Title-Business Data Analyst Location-Remote Duration-Contract through end of year with strong possibility of extension MOI: Video Must Have P&C experience in recent Project Position Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Business Analyst / Data Analytics professional to support enterprise strategic analytics initiatives for a leading insurance organization. This role will work closely with executive leadership, operational teams, and finance stakeholders to analyze business performance, uncover trends, and provide data-driven recommendations that influence strategic decision-making across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to connect data insights to business outcomes. Candidates with insurance industry experience, particularly Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities • Analyze enterprise business performance data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and operational improvement areas. • Partner with cross-functional business teams to understand KPIs, gather requirements, and build actionable analytical insights. • Develop executive-level dashboards, reports, and visual storytelling presentations that clearly communicate business performance. • Translate complex analytical findings into meaningful business recommendations and strategic narratives. • Collaborate with Finance and business leaders to quantify ROI and financial impact of proposed initiatives. • Perform strategic analytics and deep-dive analysis using SQL, Snowflake, Python, and visualization tools. • Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy. • Conduct data validation, profiling, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity. • Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot to improve research efficiency, insight generation, and productivity. • Support enterprise data governance standards and promote best practices in data storytelling and analytics. • Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. • Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Strategic Analytics professional. • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand both detailed data and big-picture business impact. • Excellent business acumen and communication skills. • Prior experience within Insurance or Financial Services industries required. • P&C Insurance experience is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with: • SQL • Snowflake • Python • Power BI / Tableau / MicroStrategy • Experience performing strategic analytics and trend analysis. • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills. • Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions. • Ability to influence business decisions using data-driven insights. • Experience with executive reporting and enterprise performance analysis. • Active user of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot for research and analytics productivity. Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field. • Experience working with enterprise data governance frameworks. • Strong understanding of ROI modeling and financial impact analysis. • Experience promoting data literacy and analytics best practices across organizations.
