Role description
Client Location (Potential travel required, possible onsite for lick off and Final wrap up presentation twice) – Bloomington, Illinois. Local or non-local candidates – Local candidates would be great, but preferably from the Midwest area. If non-local, any preference for time zone - CST OR EST I am seeking a Business & Data Analyst to support an IT Tools Usage Assessment project. This role is critical in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for process improvement across the IT tools landscape. The Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders, capture qualitative and quantitative insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that enable our customer to reduce development cycle time by at least 15%. Key Responsibilities · Discovery & Data Collection · Support design and execution of stakeholder interviews and surveys (up to 20 interviews and broad survey distribution). · Collect and review supporting documentation, including usage reports, governance policies, and training resources. · Ensure high-quality, consistent data capture across qualitative and quantitative inputs. · Analysis · Consolidate interview and survey responses into measurable themes and insights. · Evaluate alignment of tool usage with development and business objectives. · Identify redundant tools, underutilized features, workflow bottlenecks, and adoption challenges. · Benchmark findings against industry standards and best practices. · Reporting & Recommendations · Draft interim reports summarizing discovery and analysis. · Contribute to the development of a comprehensive “Current State Analysis” and “Recommendations & Optimization Roadmap.” · Support preparation of executive-level presentations, including visuals and key talking points. · Collaboration · Work under the direction of the Project Director to maintain project timelines and deliverables. · Participate in project status meetings, providing progress updates and highlighting risks or gaps. Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s a plus). · 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role. · Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in data collection, survey design/analysis, and qualitative synthesis. · Familiarity with IT tools and development environments; ability to assess adoption and alignment with business needs. · Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience in stakeholder interviews and executive-level reporting. · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey). · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple streams of work in a fast-paced environment.
