Interim
3-4 Days Per Week | 3-6 Month Contract
Derbyshire (Hybrid Working)
£250 - £270 per day
• Applicants must live within easily commutable distance from Derbyshire as you will be required at site

Eaton Syalon are supporting a growing SME business in the appointment of an Interim Business Systems & Data Analyst to provide support across a number of business-critical data, reporting and systems improvement projects.
This is a varied and hands on assignment that will suit an analytically minded individual who enjoys improving processes, enhancing reporting capabilities and helping businesses make better use of their data and systems.
The role sits at the heart of the organisation, working closely with finance, operations, commercial and leadership teams to improve data quality, automate processes, strengthen reporting and support informed decision making.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Improving reporting functionality across existing business systems
• Reviewing and developing API integrations and automation opportunities to reduce manual processes
• Supporting data integrity initiatives and database cleansing projects
• Developing and maintaining meaningful management reporting and dashboards
• Acting as a key systems contact and supporting wider business users
• Supporting invoice workflows and ensuring accuracy of underlying data
• Assisting with month-end finance processes and reporting requirements
• Supporting credit control activities through improved reporting and automation
• Identifying system issues and recommending practical improvements
• Performing regular data audits and integrity testing
• Supporting the development of robust reporting frameworks and controls
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
About You
• We're interested in speaking with individuals who can demonstrate:
• Previous experience within a Data Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar role
• Strong Excel skills including Power Query and advanced reporting
• Experience working with SQL databases and report development
• Experience using Power BI or similar visualisation tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot, automation tools and API integrations would be advantageous but is not essential.
