Now Hiring: Business & Data Analyst Location: New York, NY Department: Non-Financial Risk Technology Long-term contract Job ID# 83910 Rate type: W2 OR Independent corporation only We are hiring a Business & Data Analyst to support a new initiative within a Non-Financial Risk Technology organization at a leading financial services firm. This role focuses on data-driven projects supporting areas such as financial crimes, risk assessments, sanctions screening, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business and data requirements • Translate business requirements into data mappings and technical specifications • Analyze data definitions, relationships, business rules, and integration flows • Partner with Data Engineers to support solution design and implementation • Troubleshoot data issues and coordinate resolution with data providers • Support SDLC phases including analysis, design, testing, and implementation • Ensure data quality, governance, and alignment with business needs • Provide ongoing support and training to business users Required Skills • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge • Experience with data modeling and SDLC • Strong analytical, profiling, and troubleshooting skills • Experience working with Big Data / Hadoop platforms • Strong business analysis and stakeholder communication skills • 7+ years of experience in financial services technology Nice to Have • Data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) • Agile project delivery experience • Python or similar programming experience
