Role description
Position Title: Business Data Analyst Sr (Level 3) – Multiple roles Position Location: Tech Hubs Provide locations/flexible work by preference: Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX and Phoenix, AZ Ability to work remote: Hybrid - 3/2 Travel: Not regular or frequent Days of the week: M-F Working Hours (Flexible): 8-5 pm, 40 hours Acceptable time zone(s): EST hours Intended length of Assignment: 12/31/25 Contract to Hire W2 Team dynamic: Technology team - between 5-7 people - Closely collaborating with Finance Teams Roles and Responsibilities: β€’ Translates business requirements, processes and/or procedures by partnering with experts and business stakeholders to determine and articulate needs. communicate with stakeholders and technology teams on complex business requirements, provides gap analysis. β€’ Acting as a subject matter expert on business or technology processes and analysis techniques to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. β€’ Assessing and documenting the impacts of suggested requirements or user stories to provide a thorough understanding of current and future states of the impacted areas. β€’ Escalating risks, dependencies, and issues to the designated leaders. β€’ Collaborating with leaders to document scope or requirement changes for approval. β€’ Creating requirements or user stories, data mapping, and flow diagrams by using standard tools. β€’ Provides ongoing business as usual (BAU) support. β€’ Improving quality by creating clear acceptance criteria and providing guidance on defect management. β€’ Provides expertise and problem-solving for clients and technology teams throughout the business analysis process. Technical Skills: The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of experience with enterprise environments. β€’ Acumen β€’ Requirements Gathering and documentation – Expertise in eliciting, analyzing and documenting business and system requirements. β€’ Working knowledge of Banking, Financial markets and products β€’ Understanding of General Ledger, Balance sheet and income statement β€’ Strong knowledge of SQL for data analysis in Oracle and Teradata databases. β€’ Experience with data pipelines and tools. β€’ Experience with effectively prioritizing and executing tasks successfully. Flex Skills: Experience in Finance domain preferred.
