Business Intelligence Analyst

The Data Analytics team at our client is expanding, and this role sits at the center of how decisions get made. As a BI Analyst, you’ll connect data to strategy, transform numbers into stories, and help leaders across the business see what’s happening and what’s next. What You’ll Do • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine reporting and analytics requirements. • Translate business needs into clear data and visualization requirements. • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs in Power BI and Excel that clearly communicate trends and performance. • Perform data profiling and quality checks to identify trends, gaps, and anomalies. • Support source-to-target data mapping and ensure alignment between business logic and data structures. • Build test cases and perform QA to validate data accuracy and functionality. • Document processes, data flows, and business rules in a clear, organized manner. • Contribute to business cases, process models, and continuous improvement initiatives. Tech Stack: Power BI | Excel | SQL | Azure | Microsoft Fabric | OneLake What You Bring • Strong skills in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and communication. • Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable data requirements. • Proficiency in Power BI and Excel; ability to mock up visuals and reports. • Solid understanding of SQL and data analysis. • Experience with process mapping, data profiling, and data documentation. • Knowledge of BI concepts such as dimensional modeling, facts/dimensions, and star schema. • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills. • Clear and concise written and verbal communication, able to bridge business and technical teams.
