Summary
Invictus Strategy & Solutions is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support a large-scale financial analytics initiative focused on consumer data reporting, dashboard development, and enterprise data governance.
This role focuses on analyzing complex datasets, building and enhancing Tableau dashboards, and supporting data stewardship efforts that improve reporting accuracy, metadata management, and data quality monitoring. The ideal candidate is a junior to mid-level analyst with strong SQL and Tableau experience who enjoys translating business questions into actionable insights.
This position is a hybrid role located in Tysons, Virginia, with three days onsite and two days remote each week. Approximately three months with conversion to full time W2 employment
Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets using SQL and business intelligence tools to support key reporting and analytics needs
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau, Sigma, and other approved BI tools
Extract, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources to create reliable reporting datasets and semantic layers
Build and support ETL processes used for reporting and analytics
Manage and enhance existing Tableau dashboards while serving as a resource for questions related to metrics and data definitions
Partner with data owners and stakeholders to identify required data attributes, business definitions, and reporting metrics
Contribute to enterprise data governance initiatives including development of business glossaries, metadata repositories, and standardized definitions
Support documentation of Critical Data Elements and implementation of data quality monitoring processes
Identify data quality issues and support remediation and tracking through resolution
Document and present analytical findings and deliverables to both technical and non-technical audiences
Work within an Agile development environment using JIRA and participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
Required Skills and Key Competencies:
Bachelorβs degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related analytical field, or equivalent experience
Approximately 2 to 4 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence
Strong proficiency with SQL and Tableau (Desktop and Prep) working with large datasets
Experience building dashboards and delivering business intelligence reporting solutions
Ability to extract, transform, and structure data from multiple sources for analytics
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business questions into technical solutions
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross functional teams
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with Snowflake, Sigma, or other modern analytics platforms
Experience with data governance tools such as Ataccama or Collibra
Basic knowledge of Python or R for analytics or automation
Experience working with consumer financial data or lending products
Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks and metadata management
Experience supporting Agile analytics teams
