Role description
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with strong Power BI skills to join our team on a 6 month contract basis in Glasgow for a consultancy client. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision making across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, data models and reports.
• Gather, interpret and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Build and manage data models and ETL processes to support reporting needs.
• Ensure data integrity and quality across multiple data sources.
• Optimise existing Power BI solutions for performance and usability.
• Analyse data to identify trends, insights and performance metrics.
• Work with data engineers and business teams to align reporting with organisational goals.
• Provide support and training to end users on Power BI functionality.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst or similar role.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query (M) and data modelling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Desirable:
• Experience with Azure Data services (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Synapse).
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
