DevOps Engineer

Job Title: SRE / DevOps Lead with Kubernetes Location: Birmingham, UK Employment Type: 9 months contract Start Date: Immediate About the Role We are looking for an experienced SRE/ DevOps with expertise to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, workflows, and scalable infrastructure for secure, on-premise environments. This role plays a pivotal part in building and maintaining a strategic SIEM platform, leading automation initiatives, and ensuring robust security operations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver state-of-the-art security solutions and mentor engineers within a high-performance environment. Essential Skills & Experience • Proven experience in Kubernetes administration and DevOps automation. • Strong knowledge of Security Engineering in on-prem environments. • Hands-on experience with Splunk, ELK Stack, and CI/CD pipelines. • Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). • Experience with scripting or programming (Python, Go, JavaScript). • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Desirable Skills • Experience with ArgoCD, Terraform, Jenkins, or Ansible. • Understanding of SIEM operations and automation frameworks. • Knowledge of microservices architecture, Kafka/RabbitMQ, or OpenStack. • Exposure to cloud and hybrid infrastructure (private or public).
