Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst – M&A Support
Location - United States – Remote (Candidates must be flexible to support US time zones as needed)
Duration - 4+ months contract with potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to support our Distribution M&A team. This role focuses on analyzing complex datasets, ensuring data accuracy, and enabling data-driven decision-making during mergers and acquisitions activities.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in data analysis, comfortable working with multiple data sources, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and the capability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Support account matching and mapping processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems
• Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources including Salesforce and data warehouses
• Write and execute SQL queries to extract and validate data
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key business metrics
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support
• Identify trends, anomalies, and data discrepancies and provide actionable insights
• Investigate and resolve data issues independently in a timely manner
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned projects and ensure timely delivery
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst role with strong focus on data analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and modeling
• Strong experience writing and executing SQL queries
• Working knowledge of Salesforce, including Accounts and Opportunity data and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
Preferred / Teachable Skills
• Exposure to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes is a plus but not required
