Role description
We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst for a contract‑to‑hire role paying $85–95K with a hybrid schedule (four days onsite). This new position will partner with Accounting, Operations, and other teams to gather reporting requirements, develop dashboards and analyses, and deliver accurate, actionable insights using SQL, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel. The analyst will work with complex datasets, support budgeting and forecasting, ensure data quality, and identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes. Job Description We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support organizational strategy and enhance data‑driven decision‑making. In this role, you will collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and various cross‑functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver accurate, actionable business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will be skilled at transforming complex requirements into well‑designed analytical products while ensuring the reliability and integrity of the data behind them. Responsibilities • Partner with Accounting, Operations, and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting requirements. • Gather, analyze, and document reporting needs through research, stakeholder collaboration, and data exploration. • Translate complex business intelligence requests into high‑quality analytical outputs utilizing credible and efficient data sources. • Design, build, and maintain recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reports, dashboards, and analyses using SQL, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel. • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract and analyze financial, claims, enrollment, and utilization data. • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities related to budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial performance. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through rigorous validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes. • Identify and document data quality issues and assist in driving resolutions. • Recommend and implement automation opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance self‑service analytics. • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reports, data sources, business logic, and analytical methodologies. Essential Skills • 2+ years of experience working in a data‑focused or analytics‑driven role. • Strong analytical skills with experience supporting financial or business intelligence functions. • Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel. • Experience with cost accounting or job‑costing concepts is preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
