Job Title: IT Software Development Advisor Duration: 12 Months with Conversion to FTE Location: Atlanta, GA (Contract-to-Hire | Remote Eligible) Pay Rate: $50 - $60/hr Open only on W2. Must Have Skills β€’ Power Apps β€’ Power Automate β€’ Power BI β€’ Deltek Vision / VantagePoint Primary Purpose The IT Software Development Advisor is responsible for designing and maintaining robust, scalable software architectures within CMS software systems. This role oversees development, implementation, and system revisions while evaluating technologies and providing expert consultation on applications and integration needs. Key Responsibilities β€’ Ensure software scalability, compatibility, and data integrity across all claims-related applications. β€’ Align solutions with overall business, IT, and infrastructure strategies. β€’ Define and implement strategies for maintaining JURIS data and application integrations. β€’ Partner with management and cross-functional teams to design and deliver strategic technology initiatives. β€’ Collaborate with project managers to track active and upcoming projects, identifying areas of overlap. β€’ Support large-scale client implementations involving multiple system interfaces and modifications. β€’ Oversee and guide analyst/programmers as needed, reviewing change requests to ensure feasibility and eliminate duplication. β€’ Provide recommendations on prioritizing tactical and strategic change requests. β€’ Assist in forecasting software and hardware requirements for claims-related applications. β€’ Contribute to organizational quality and compliance programs. Supervisory Responsibilities β€’ Administer company personnel policies and ensure adherence to staffing and training standards. β€’ Hire, onboard, and develop team members, including setting performance development plans and conducting performance reviews. β€’ Provide leadership, mentorship, and motivation to drive high-performing teams. Qualifications Education & Licensing: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (required). β€’ Master’s degree (preferred). Experience: β€’ 10+ years of relevant software development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. β€’ 7+ years in software design and development. β€’ 5+ years hands-on programming in database and data-driven applications (strongly preferred). Skills & Knowledge: β€’ Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (SDLC), security, modular design, and system integration. β€’ Expertise with Microsoft Office and related productivity tools. β€’ Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills. β€’ Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities. β€’ Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. β€’ Skilled in negotiation, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork. β€’ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
