Business Intelligence Analyst (Medical Affairs) 1 Year Contract Location: Parsippany, NJ Department: Insights, Digital and Analytics Gilead Medical Strategy and Operations Duration: 12 Months Contract Experience Level: Mid-Level (3 5 years) About The Role We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to support Medical Affairs analytics initiatives. In this role, you will work on ad hoc analytics projects, develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for Medical Affairs operations, contribute to responsible AI analytics capabilities, and deliver actionable reporting through dashboards and performance insights. This position will directly impact analytics and reporting strategies used to optimize Medical Affairs operations and inform engagement with healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement KPIs and operational performance metrics for content utilization, field engagement effectiveness, AI adoption, and insights generation • Conduct ad hoc analytics projects supporting Medical Affairs strategy and operations • Mine internal and third-party data sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track performance, user behavior, and key metrics • Perform cross-platform and multi-channel analysis to support optimization efforts • Partner with stakeholders across Medical, Marketing, Media, and Product teams to translate business needs into measurable analytics deliverables • Support development of responsible AI analytics capabilities in collaboration with analytics colleagues Qualifications • 3 5 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence / analytics in healthcare (pharma preferred) • Experience supporting Medical Affairs, commercial, HEOR, or healthcare analytics environments • Strong knowledge of analytics tools and methods such as SQL, statistical analysis, and reporting automation • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is strongly preferred • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, Data Science, or related field Preferred Qualifications • Hands-on experience with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis • Familiarity with healthcare datasets such as IQVIA, Definitive Healthcare, claims, EMR, or provider data • Understanding of pharma industry workflows such as product launch, payer access, medical affairs operations, or omnichannel analytics Contract Details • This is a 12-month contract role • Extension or conversion may be possible based on business needs and performance
