Job Summary
The Technology Specialist will drive technical excellence by enhancing data processing capabilities and streamlining workflows using SQL, Excel Macro/VBA, and Alteryx. This role is hands-on and requires deep expertise in data analytics, automation, and workflow optimization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Design and implement Excel Macros and VBA scripts to automate repetitive processes and improve productivity.
• Utilize Alteryx to build advanced analytics workflows and automate data pipelines.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Monitor and maintain data integrity across platforms to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SQL, Excel, and Alteryx-related issues.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Design and implement data models to support reporting and efficient data processing.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
• Lead initiatives to improve data processing efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions for team members on SQL, VBA, and Alteryx best practices.
• Document technical processes, workflows, and solutions for long-term knowledge retention.
• Stay current with advancements in SQL, Excel automation, and Alteryx to continuously improve solutions.
Required Qualifications
• 10–13 years of experience in data engineering / technology specialist roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
• Proven expertise in Excel Macro/VBA for automation and productivity improvements.
• Hands-on experience with Alteryx for data analytics and workflow automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and training delivery.
• Experience working in onsite, enterprise environments.
