Business Intelligence Analyst

About the Opportunity MGT is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support a high-impact initiative with our Public Sector Client. This position requires a skilled BI professional with strong Tableau expertise who can design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise reporting solutions while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Tableau development, business rule management, data processing, testing methodologies, and technical documentation in a structured enterprise environment. Required Qualifications Candidates must clearly demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume: • Strong proficiency in creating, maintaining, and managing Tableau code • Experience organizing rules, tasks, and fields within the Tableau Business Rule Manager • Familiarity with batch processing and data jobs within Tableau environments • Experience engineering, creating, and processing test data • Knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies, including: • Unit Testing • System Testing • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) • Quality Assurance practices • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Key Responsibilities As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for: • BI Development & Reporting • Design, develop, test, and deploy Tableau reports and dashboards • Create accurate and timely BI web reports that meet business requirements • Develop interactive reports and interfaces for production deployment • Validate report functionality and data accuracy • Technical Documentation • Create and maintain technical documentation, including: • Architecture diagrams • Interface specifications • Network topology diagrams • Security models • Technical specifications • Design standards documentation • Quality Assurance & Testing • Develop Quality Assurance plans to ensure compliance with requirements • Engineer and process test data for reporting validation • Support testing activities and defect resolution • Maintain issue logs and track resolution progress • Training & Knowledge Transfer • Develop training and support materials • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for operational staff • Provide post-deployment support and guidance • Project Reporting • Produce periodic status reports detailing: • Accomplishments • Current activities • Risks and issues • Upcoming tasks and milestones Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field • Experience supporting government or public-sector organizations • Experience with enterprise reporting and data analytics environments • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence best practices • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments
