Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst (II) Location: Durham NC (onsite) Duration: 7 months contract • Build data pipelines using SQL and BigQuery to gather and organize data related to Customer Churn into structured and documented tables with minimal guidance. • Using these tables and other data sources, build dashboards/reports in Looker and Google Sheets based on business requirements. • Develop and document data models to assist in the visualization and interpretation of data. • Consult with users or decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards with minimal guidance. Strong preference for the following skills:: • GoogleSQL dialect experience (or similar). • Experience with Google Sheets. • Hands-on experience writing scripts and building dashboards using Looker/BigQuery. Description: As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you deliver full pieces of a business intelligence work that are integrated into an overarching project. You demonstrate working knowledge of business intelligence tools and methodologies, which you use to design dashboards and maintain data pipelines. As you develop solutions for business intelligence problems that may be ambiguous and/or lacking clear precedent, you improve business intelligence infrastructure and translate metrics and analysis into formats that enable supported teams to quickly and easily derive relevant information. Responsibilities include: • Develop reports, queries, and dashboards that access and consolidate information from a variety of data sources with minimal guidance. Design and implement specific features and components with minimal guidance. • Provide ongoing support for data users through maintenance of reports, queries, and dashboards with minimal guidance. Execute on plans for dependency changes (e.g., system migrations). • Design business intelligence solutions and infrastructure to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval with minimal guidance. Partner with upstream data providers to establish new source data pipelines. Follow and improve upon the local best practices. • Develop data models to assist in the visualization and interpretation of data with minimal guidance. • Consult with users or decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards with minimal guidance. • Perform data analyses utilizing relevant tools, leveraging custom data infrastructure or existing data models with minimal guidance.
