Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst — Contractor Location: Remote Contract Length: 3–4 months Hours: Full-time contract (40 hrs/week) Reports to: Director of Data & Analytics About the Role We’re seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our data & analytics team as a contractor. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that drive decision-making. This role requires strong SQL skills, experience with BI visualization tools (Tableau & Power BI), and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI to support business operations and strategy. • Write efficient SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from various sources. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, understand reporting needs, and translate requirements into technical solutions. • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement. • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting deliverables. • Document data sources, transformations, and dashboard logic for maintainability. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related field. • Proficiency in SQL (writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting queries). • Strong hands-on experience with Tableau and Power BI (building dashboards, custom visuals, DAX for Power BI). • Solid understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts. • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences. • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Experience • Familiarity with data governance and analytics best practices. • Insurance or financial services industry experience (nice to have, not required).
