Position: Senior BI Solutions Analyst/Consultant Work Location: Reston, VA (hybrid – 3 days onsite) Duration: 12 months (Possible extension) Job Description: The client is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior BI Solutions Analyst / Consultant to join our growing Business Intelligence & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of relevant experience and a proven track record delivering impactful BI solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment. This role demands expert-level skills in Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, and at least one additional BI technology, along with a deep understanding of data visualization, business analytics, and customer-facing communication. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of related experience in BI analysis, consulting, or solutions delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and deploy advanced business intelligence solutions using Tableau, Amazon Quick Sight, and other tools (e.g., Power BI, Micro Strategy, Alteryx). • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct use case assessments, and participate in design reviews and troubleshooting. • Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including user guides, research reports, presentations, and knowledge-sharing materials. • Present insights and deliverables to business and technical audiences in clear and engaging formats. • Stay current with BI and data analytics trends to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies. • Develop and optimize SQL queries; understand data models and underlying data structures. • Apply data visualization best practices to deliver insights that drive business decisions. • Support data analysis activities, including statistical functions, predictive analytics, and machine learning models. • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Required Skills & Expertise: • Proven experience as a BI Solutions Analyst or BI Consultant. • Expert-level proficiency in Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, and at least one other BI platform (Power BI, MicroStrategy, Alteryx, or similar). • Ability to rapidly learn and evaluate new technologies, producing detailed, shareable documentation. • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create user documentation, training materials, and reports. • Comfortable delivering presentations to large or executive audiences. • Strong understanding of BI and data analytics trends and visualization techniques. • Experience in requirements gathering, use case development, and technical troubleshooting. • Strong consulting skills with the ability to work collaboratively with both business and technical stakeholders. • Advanced knowledge of SQL and ability to interpret complex data models. Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and predictive modeling. • Experience with programming languages such as R or Python. • Experience deploying BI platforms in AWS environments. • Published or presented research findings in internal or external forums.
