Title: BI reporting Administrator (MicroStrategy/AWS)
Location: Remote, candidates based in the Eastern
Terms of Employment:
• W2 Contract, Six Months (Likely Extension)
• The position is 100% remote for candidates based in the Eastern or Central time zones. Candidates must be able to work Eastern time zone hours and attend a daily sprint at 9AM ET.
Overview:
Our client, a leading organization, is undertaking a major initiative to modernize its Business Intelligence capabilities. We are seeking a skilled BI Reporting Administrator to play a pivotal role in this transformation. You will be responsible for administering the MicroStrategy environment and supporting a critical migration from a legacy system to the cutting-edge MicroStrategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC) platform running on AWS. • Administer, support, and maintain the MicroStrategy BI environment, with a focus on the new cloud-based CMC platform.
• Play a key role in the migration of projects and reports from the current MicroStrategy platform to the new AWS EKS-based environment.
• Automate code deployment and integration tasks by reading and modifying existing Python scripts.
• Provide administrative support for other BI tools, including Power BI and AWS QuickSight.
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshoot production incidents, and provide root cause analysis to maintain high levels of service.
• Work within a Linux-based environment, utilizing command-line tools and shell scripting for daily tasks.
Required Qualifications:
• 3-5+ years of experience in the administration and support of MicroStrategy.
• 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including direct experience administering applications within AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
• 5+ years of experience working in a Linux environment, with strong skills in Unix shell scripting.
• Proven ability to read and modify existing automation scripts, with a strong preference for Python.
• Experience with Power BI administration and support.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Direct hands-on experience with MicroStrategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC).
• Experience with AWS services such as QuickSight, Redshift, and Aurora Postgres.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• MicroStrategy and/or AWS Certifications.
