Business Intelligence Developer

Position Details : Role: Tableau Developer Location: Charlotte, NC Type: Contract Description: Role is accountable for Tableau reporting visualization and analysis and may identify themes and trends at the function or product level. Responsibilities: · Design, development, testing and deployment of Tableau dashboards · Leverage advanced Tableau capabilities (parameters, actions, tooltip, modifications, API etc.) to create analytical dashboards · Lead development of Business Intelligence solutions prototypes that demonstrate strong performance and usability to line of business stakeholders · Understanding of relational database structures and business objectives to extract from various source databases, normalization of data, and automation of processes · Proactively identify and interpret results in effort to communicate issues, risks, blockers to assignments and escalate areas of concern · Identify and understand results and respond to queries about data or reported information · Write documentation · Perform data quality validations · Collaborate with business contacts to understand data needs Required Skills and Experience: · Must have advanced experience with the design and development of reports in Tableau · Advanced experience with data modeling and relational databases · Advanced experience in using tools such as SQL/SSIS/Hadoop/Oracle or Teradata · Advanced experience with SQL stored procedures · Experience with software specifications, design, implementation and deployment · Proficient in Agile / Scrum development methodology · Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with stakeholders in a clear, concise, and influential way · Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
